Code of Conduct for Wall Users and Writers
The following guidance has been developed to support the Legal Graffiti Walls (pilot project).
- Respect the boundaries - Only paint on the agreed location of legal wall and not the surroundings areas.
- Be Friendly - To the neighbours, members of public and other writers / artists, this is a public space
- No Tagging - Covering artwork only partially is disrespectful
- No Disrespect - Don't cover artwork that is clearly of better quality or more elaborate than yours
- No Offence - Don't paint racist, sexist, sectarian or in other ways offensive images or messages. If seen, this should be reported to GCC via their online form who will arrange for this to be removed
- Don't Litter - Take your rubbish with you (or use bins in the vicinity) THIS MEANS CANS AND CAPS TOO
- Take Care - This wall is on a thoroughfare, be aware of passing traffic
Safety - It is important to be aware of your surroundings. Do not take risks, safety should be your first priority.
